Johnny Widener served as the senior pastor at Liberty Baptist Church in Dalhart, TX, from February 1994 to December 2003, before surrendering to go as a missionary to Ghana, Africa. He spent the next eleven years planting and establishing Spring Valley Baptist Church in Cape Coast, Ghana. The Lord then called Brother Widener as the senior pastor of Bible Baptist Church, Dumas, TX, in December 2014. He was saved in this church in 1980, and ordained to the Gospel ministry out of Bible Baptist on June 12, 1992.
