Jathan Newton was born and raised in Indianapolis. God saved Jathan at a young age through the preaching of the gospel and instruction of his parents. He received a B.S. in Civil Engineering at Purdue University where he met and married Melissa. During Jathan’s college years, God called him into full-time gospel ministry. Jathan & Melissa then moved to Pennsylvania where he earned a Master of Divinity from Baptist Bible Seminary. In 2007, after five years as an assistant pastor in Indiana, God led the Newton’s to Abounding Grace Church in Visalia, CA where Jathan currently serves as pastor. Jathan and Melissa have four children – two by birth and two by adoption. As a family they enjoy camping, hiking, sports, reading, and games.
