Pastor Mike Mutchler and wife Vicky came to Oregon in the summer of 1984 to start Grand View Baptist Church. They started that Fall with 75 people, and met in rented facilities until they purchased 12 acres on Hwy 213 and Leland Road. The congregation built the first building themselves, and then every few years added another. Grand View Baptist Church now has 17 acres and averages about 1,000 in the Sunday School Bible Classes, with a growing Spanish ministry that averages over 300 each week.
