David's determination

David had some determination to fight the enemy. When Saul came to him and said he was too young, too inexperienced, and should not fight Goliath David began to tell Saul his resume. David told Saul how he fought lions and bears. He had the determination to do what the Lord had called him to go and do. Do we have such determination?
