Joseph Jacowitz was born in 1955 in New York City into a conservative Jewish family. He was converted to Christ in 1976 while serving in the U.S. Marine Corps. He is the President of FirstLove Ministries. He has a bachelor’s degree in pastoral theology and has been in pastoral ministry since 1983. He has been the pastor of Christ Bible Church in Pleasanton, CA, since 1990. He and his wife Sherry were married in 1978, and have five adult children and eight grandchildren.
