Alan Dunlop

Saved from a life of sin as a twenty three year old in 1970, Alan Dunlop knew immediately in his heart he was saved to serve. After a four year college course in the Theological Hall of the Free Presbyterian Church of Ulster he served in two pastorates in Northern Ireland. The Pastorates were Castlederg Co Tyrone; (five years) and Newtownards, Co Down; fifteen years.

In 1990 he and a church elder travelled to Africa to visit missionaries. Upon returning home to Ulster he set about funding a purely private endeavour whereby, through humanitarian aid, churches could be assisted, repaired, built, pastors provided with cycle transport, and famine relief given when needed. Stepping stones for the Gospel he calls these things! Today FAME comprises a medical Clinic, Laboratory, orphanage (200 children) Infant rescue unit, Polytec, and a robust programme of evangelism in schools, prisons, open air markets and Churches . Fame has also a Christian Resource Centre opened recently which serves as a hub for all evangelistic efforts as well as facilitating seminars, fellowship meetings etc,.

Now, in these last five years, with a new Field Leader and his family giving full time attention to the field needs, Alan’s long term goal is simple. More of the same as the Lord gives strength and grace!. Pray for Rodney and Alma Davidson, pray for their little family remaining on the field with them.
