(2) Prayer and Witness

The book of Acts teaches believers today how they should anticipate being used in God's great mission of bringing his kingdom to bear in this world.

So it is no mistake that the very first concerns which the first disciples took up after Jesus' ascension and in response to his great commission were prayer and witness. In verses 12-14 we read about a church prayer meeting. In verses 15-26 we read about how the church replaced Judas as an apostolic witness to the resurrection of Christ.
