Workless Faith

In this oft-misunderstood text, James is not contrasting faith with works or faith with unbelief. He's contrasting two different types of faith: a faith that has good works automatically attached to it vs. a faith that has no works.

This passage shows that a workless faith, while maybe even perceiving true facts about God, is worthless. This is not authentic, saving faith.
