John 47 - Love Jesus Obey Jesus B

Jesus is not giving believers a command. He is stating a simply truth that runs throughout the Gospel from Genesis to Revelation: If you love Him it will be evidenced by the fruit of your life; i.e., keeping and living His words from a changed new covenant nature. Keeping the Ten Words without a changed nature does not change one's nature; it only reveals that nature to be lost.
