US ED Slaps Down Oklahoma for Rejecting Common Core - Centralizing Governments

Presidents George W. Bush and Barack Obama worked hard to increase the size of the Department of Education fourfold between 2000 and 2014. Now, the Department of Education can finally control the states and enforce its will. This is something Clinton couldn't quite pull off with Goals 2000. But, what the federal government funds, the federal government controls. Now the US Department of Education put a gun to the head of Oklahoma when that state tried to back out of Common Core.
