THE HOLY SPIRIT IN CREATION AND IN SALVATION

You may preach the Gospel without preaching on the Holy Spirit, but you cannot preach on the Spirit and leave out the Gospel!

The work of Christ involves two things: His perfect character and obedience in every respect, and then His death to pay the redemption price. God’s work is always and in all things a work of perfect order — we find this in Creation and you will find it in your salvation. We find the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit in creation and also in every person’s salvation.

You will never be saved by God the Father’s election and God the Son’s death at the Cross apart from and unless the precious Spirit of God broods over you and draws you to Christ. And when Christ calls you He separates you. You can never get to God except through Christ, and you can never get to Christ without the Holy Spirit. Here we see the Trinity as well as the Unity in the Godhead.

The work of the Spirit in salvation is a work of POWER, and you’ll never get over it if and when He saves you!
