Punishment With a Purpose

In this chapter, God declares His wrath toward both Syria and His nation of Israel. As God describes what His wrath will bring to the nations, He declares the purpose of bringing judgment to His church. Verse 7 sums this up: "In that day a man will look to his Maker,
And his eyes will have respect for the Holy One of Israel."
