God Shall Wipe Away All Tears

The book of Revelation expands upon numerous Old Testament passages. In fact, one cannot understand the book of Revleation without some familiarity with the OT — that is why Revelation is such a mystery to many today because their churches virtually ignore the OT. If you are part of a church that pays scant attention to the OT, perhaps regarding it as just a history book with some moral lessons here and there...if your pastor uses the phrase “New Testament Christian” to describe himself or the congregation...I urge you to find another church. If you don't know the OT you will never receive the blessings that God intends for you from either the OT or the NT. The more you understand the OT the more you will understand the New: the more you will know Christ.
