Colossians 4:2-6; II Kings 7

If you are a follower of Christ, you have a story.
Do you know how to share your story?

The Ministry of Evangelism begins with God.

• Our Part:

  • Pray Persistently (v. 2)

  • Pray Purposefully (v. 2)

• God's Part: "Open Doors" (Acts 14:27, 16:14;
  I Corinthians 16:19; II Corinthians 2:12;
  Revelation 3:7)

• Our Part:

  • Be Clear (vs. 3-4)

  • Be Wise (v. 5)

  • Be Graceful (v. 6)

• God's Part

Application:

1. Write out your testimony (story). After you
   have written it in full, reduce it to where
   you can share it in 3 minutes.

2. In II Kings 7 we see four lepers who have
   fallen into incredibly good fortune. What was
   their response to what God had done for them?

3. There is tension between the sovereignty
   of God and the responsibility of man when
   it comes to evangelism. What is our part
   and what is God's part? What is the sinner's
   part?

4. Are you currently praying for someone who is
   not yet a follower of Christ? Are you sharing
   your faith with that person, or any others,
   on a regular basis?

5. The scripture tells us to "redeem the time."
   How does that work in relation to evangelism?
