CHRIST Our Joy

Pastor Chris Mills brings us to this part of Peter's letter where he seeks to encourage and stress to those who have been sovereignly chosen, elected, regenerated, washed in CHRIST's blood, truly born again, and called to an inheritance with GOD in glory, though in the midst of trials, we are to rejoice in CHRIST, who IS our joy. For JESUS is the unending fount of the Christian's joy, the complete and total reason for joy, and is the final outcome of the Christian's love. As we rejoice in the fullness of CHRIST, our faith in HIM and our salvation grows, that when we are placed in the crucible or test in dark providences, we will either grow closer towards HIM, or wallow in sin and pity. But our love and faith should go hand in hand, as we love HIM more, we will trust HIM with our lives in this life, unto glory.
