54 No Other Name

In ancient days, names revealed Character. In our text, the 3 names of Christ reveal His character, His attributes of "Faithful and True."

#1 A Name no one knows but Himself. (verse 12)There will always be a part of Christ's character that we cannot know because the finite cannot fully comprehend the infinite.

#2 The Word of God. (verse 13) Christ reveals the heart of our covenant God, both in His holiness and His graciousness.

#3 King of kings and Lord of Lords. (verse 16)This name is written on his robe and His thigh. Christ cannot be mistaken for who He is because His name is embroidered into the fabric of His actions and tatooed into his nature.

The remaining question is, "Are you part of the army of heaven?"
