The Holy Spirit VIII: The Spirit of Adoption - Romans 8:14-15

Introduction and Context:

  1. There are two realms of dominion, the flesh and the Spirit…Rom. 8:1-4
  2. Believers are not in the flesh…Romans 8:5-9

  4. “You will live…” Rom. 8:13
    Lesson: The children of God are literally indwelt by the Spirit of Adoption (the Holy Spirit) whereby they cry Abba! Father!

I. The Divine Fatherhood of God

Point - Paul is teaching us about the Fatherhood of God with respect to Him within the framework of what we call “The Covenant of Grace.”
