Outward Comparisons

Paul warns the Corinthians of impostors that boast of themselves. Outward appearances of rhetorical skills and human credentials are not to be treated with authority in the church. Paul exposes these impostors as boasters of themselves and not fit for God's people. The only boasting for the Christian is the boasting of God, not one's own, or other men's, labors. Boast in the Lord and wait on him.
