Because of the influence of the Pentecostal and Charismatic movements throughout the world we live in an age where Spiritism and spirits are often confused with the work and ministry of the Holy Spirit. This is especially true in the are of signs and icons in the church. More and more in protestant churches we see the equivalent of protestant icons in our art, sculptures and depictions. More and more in protestant churches people are looking for signs as an indication of God's blessing and leadership as opposed to the written Word of God. In this devotional Rev. Mahon interacts with the seminary students on this important issue.
