United by God's Love in Christ

We are continuing the theme of God's plan and purpose, and this week, his plan to unite the whole creation in Christ. His plan is not political or merely powerful, but the working out of his love, through Christ. It is ourselves who are the enemies, but it is he that has made the peace, through the moral victory of the cross. A plan so majestic and yet so immediate to our situation needs our constant attention and agreement. As Paul says, this reconciliation is ours 'if indeed you continue in the faith, stable and steadfast, not shifting from the hope of the gospel that you heard.'
