Adversity is useful in a number of ways. It is used by God to sharpen our focus on what is really important, increase our awareness of our inability and need for His grace, it even drives us to our knees to produce intense prayer for deliverance. In other words, adversity can be a tool for godly character development and growth. The outline of the sermons is as follows:
I. Confession: I am poor and needy
II. Profession: You are my help and deliverer
III. Supplication: Make haste, do not delay
