Redemption Through His Blood - Framing the Crucifixion

Although every serious scholar acknowledges Jesus' crucifixion, there is no consensus regarding its purpose, outcome and meaning. But one commonality shared by most views is their failure to interpret the crucifixion through the lens of the Old Testament scriptures. At best, Jesus' death is interpreted in relation to the Levitical sacrificial system, but this narrow approach falls woefully short of a truly biblical one. This message considers what it actually means to understand Jesus' crucifixion as "fulfilling the Scriptures."
