WSC #5: Are there more Gods than one? There is but one only, the living and true God.
Aim: To grow in faith, hope, and love.
Doctrine: God integrates truth and life. God is the framework of all truth, and the spring of all life.
Exposition: The facts of life: truth gives birth to life (v. 18); true life overcomes evil (v. 19); in the truth, we know eternal life (v. 20).
Application: Integrate your life in the truth. Believe in Jesus and you will keep yourself from idols; obey Jesus and you will see Jesus; speak of Jesus and you will love your brother and the world.
Key phrase: v. 20c ''He is the true God and eternal life.''
