Are You Adopted?

In this message we consider the blessing of adoption. Have you ever felt the silence that sometimes follows when in the course of conversation somebody announces, "I'm adopted" or "she's adopted"? Adoption is something unusual, unnatural, and out of the ordinary and therefore an uncomfortable subject for many people. Are you adopted? The Bible uses the practice of adoption to help us to understand that salvation is an unusual, unnatural and extraordinary act of God's love to receive sinners into his own family and call us his children. The apostles considered this one of the greatest blessings, but because many people are uncomfortable with this word today this biblical doctrine is often overlooked, purposely ignored, and even actively opposed even in churches...
