Oracle Against Philistia

In Isaiah 14:28-32, we witness 3 reorienting realities in
the oracle concerning Philistia given in the year King
Ahaz died (v. 28).
I. Do not rejoice, O Philistia!
A. For though your adversary is broken, its
lineage is great (v. 29).
B. And will destroy you, leaving not even a
remnant, while securely saving your
adversary (v. 30).
II. Wail and fear, O Philistia!
A. For you are not safe (v. 31a).
B. Because your enemy is strong (v. 31b).
III. How should Judah respond to Philistia?
A. Yahweh is present and reigning (v. 32a).
B. And in Him His people find refuge (v. 32b).
