Peter's first sermon – Part 2

Peter now demonstrates in his first sermon that Jesus of Nazareth is the Christ by virtue of His astounding miracles, wonders, and signs. The unlettered fisherman then takes us into the deep theological waters of divine sovereignty and human responsibility. We look at their responsibility for the horrific crime of the murder of Jesus on one side, and the sovereign counsel of God in the death of Christ on the other. Both are true, both are at work together to accomplish the Sovereign’s purpose of redemption.
