Grace Giving
II Corinthians 8:1

The word Grace appears seven times in Chapter 8 and 3 times in Chapter 9.

The Encouragement Giving is an activity of grade.

The Example
Grace Giving:
Always begins with a profound spiritual experience – v. 1
Is an attitude – v. 2
Is according to our ability – v. 3
Is done willingly – v. 3
Is often sacrificial – v. 3
Is often supplicating – v. 4
Begins with giving ourselves to the Lord – v. 5
Is often supplicating – v. 4
Begins with giving ourselves to the Lord – v. 5
Involves humble submission to church authority – v. 5
Is a matter of spiritual maturity – vv. 6-8
The Exhortation
Jesus was rich – v. 9
Jesus became poor – v. 9
Jesus makes the recipients of His grace rich – v. 9
Through His grace we become responsible stewards – vv. 10-15
The Extraordinary Principles
When our hearts are moved by the grace of God, we want to give generously. Is this true of you?
When our hearts are touched by the grace of God, we count giving a privilege. Is this true of you?
When we first give ourselves to the Lord, we have the right priorities. What are your priorities?
How we walk in grace affects how we give. Does your giving have anything to do with your salvation?
