The Gospel: Foolishness or Wisdom?

What, it may be asked, is the gospel? In truth, it is what Paul preached in Corinth (v18). It is the message of the cross (vv18-21). It speaks of Christ and Him crucified (1:23-2:2). Excellence of speech was valued in Corinth by most Corinthians (2:1). Against this the gospel was accounted foolishness. What say you? How do you define the gospel? Is the message of the cross good news to you?
