Abraham repeats history and lies again about his wife Sarah to Abimelech the king of Gerar. Abraham's example is a striking reminder of the fact the old man is present with us throughout the entirety of our earthly pilgrimage and the need for us to constantly apply the principle of death to the flesh nature lest we also fall back into a besetting sin.
