"P18 As God Has Called You"

Today, everything seems to be regulated in one way or another, whether business, autos, life insurance, etc. However, in this text, Paul is going to give the Corinthian Church and every church, a rule, a principle, to guide and regulate what has been previously discussed such as marriage, divorce, singleness, and widows. Paul gives a principle to help us in our relationships between men and women. We consider 1) The rule itself, 2) The illustration from circumcision, and 3) The illustration from slavery. Whatever condition you were called in, God calls us to live in, not changing our status for some kind of spiritual reason. Of course there are some exceptions. As always I claim no originality, but will quote, cite, refer, etc to various authors including: Riddlebarger, Gardner, Garland, Kistemaker, and many others.
