The Double Self of a True Child of God

Proposition: There is a division in the person of every child of God. You must recognize this division and learn to humbly walk in the Spirit. God has made one provision for overcoming indwelling sin and no others. But there is provision. Though it is true that "there is never an hour when a Christian 'says he has no sin' does not 'deceive himself,' chronic defeat is not necessary. It would be more true to say that when we walk in lively fellowship with God we triumph over indwelling sin as though it existed in relative dormancy.
