Abraham's appearance before Egypt's Pharaoh is an anti-type to Christ before Pilate. Abraham gave his bride to save his life; conversely, Christ gave His life to save His bride. Abram became rich at Sarah's expense; conversely, the bride of Christ became rich at His expense. Finally, Abraham, Sarah, and the bride of Christ were delivered from danger; conversely, Christ was delivered to the cross.
