More and Mightier

This week, we be studying Exodus 1:1-14 as we hear how God works so that the Israelites are both enslaved and freed from Egypt. In their time in Egypt, the Israelites expand from seventy people to six hundred thousand men in about 215 years. A Pharoah arose that did not remember Joseph for had saved the nation. This Pharoah was afraid of the Israelites because of their numbers, so he enslaved them and used them to build cities. Pharoah affliction of them did not cause them to decrease, rather the more the Egyptians afflicted them, the more they increase. In the midst of their oppression, God was blessing them all because the day was already appointed by God when they would leave Egypt.
