Signs of a Believer

Point - True conversion will bring about a change of heart.

1. A change of heart, a change of priorities, a change of overall purpose, and a change of our sense of ownership. A realization that God owns us.
   What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's. 1 Corinthians 6:19-20
   Point - True conversion will bring about a move from the self-centered life to the God-centered life.
2. This is the very definition of spiritual maturity. As we grow in the Lord we become more like Him and less like us. Sometimes as we grow we try to make God more like us instead of us more like Him. As John the Baptist said, “He must increase and I must decrease.” John said it about his ministry but it worked through his whole life, even leading to his death. We must also wish to decrease so that Jesus Christ gets the attention, not us.
