We Have A Great High Priest

Christ Jesus is not only our Prophet and King, but he is also our advocate with the Father. As our great High Priest, He has not only accomplished all that was necessary to secure a right standing before God, but He continues to make intercession for us. As one who effective presents our prayers to God, He knows what should be the content and focus of our prayers. This psalm is useful to this end. The outline of the sermon is as follows:
