Marriage Matters #1: Introduction

Marriage matters is a series that covers the amazing inspired teaching by Paul on the subject of marriage, divorce, singleness, and remarriage — all here in 1 Corinthians 7.

Many seem to miss the connection of this passage with the context in Corinth, and in the two chapters leading up to it.
In this sermon you'll get a clear idea of the flow, showing that a HUGE issue for the Corinthians was the question of how to deal with the pressure from the temptation to sexual immorality that was all around them, and even within them as a hangover from their immoral lives pre-conversion.

In the light of that pressure, Paul's inspired counsel gives some timeless instruction for people struggling with the temptation to sexual immorality, but also in these verses there is precious truth that shows married people how to think in the area of intimacy within marriage.
