Confirmation At Calvary

Subtitle: ‘Solid Scripture vs. Shifting Science.’

Scientific theories are constantly being refigured, and new research frequently renders old ideas outdated or incomplete. Truth is, theories get busted, mistakes are made, and hoaxes are perpetrated.

This is not the case with Scripture. (cf. Psalm 119:89, 1 Peter 1:23-25, Proverbs 30:5-6).

The various events that unfolded at Christ’s cross served to underline, again and again, the reliability of Scripture. OT prophecy after OT prophecy were fulfilled to the letter, reminding us that the Scriptures cannot be broken; that they are stable, reliable and foundational. You and I can build our life upon them and exercise total dependence on them, especially in an age when the battle for the Bible shows no signs of decreasing (Bible Inerrancy is the real battleground today).
