Depth of Roots

You can never tell on the surface what lies beneath it. Like roots of a tree grown sturdily into the earth, our faith needs to be anchored deeply into Jesus and Him alone. He is our strength, our fortress and safety. We're not to put our trust, or worship anyone or anything else, otherwise we will be like those trees with shallow roots. Yet looking healthy on the surface, they are bound to fall when the storm comes. Andrew Weston expounds.
