God's Providence & Our Temperance

In times of dark Providence there are unique challenges to fear not, compromise not, and so forth. In times of bright Providence as in this chapter, the unique challenge is to discipline oneself not to go overboard with our favored status and take advantage by being pushy and going further in our liberties such as would not be expedient though in some sense lawful. Here in this book we have excellent examples of how to respond biblically in both cases. God help us to be mindful to seek wisdom for what we ought to do.
