Increasingly, federal and state courts are legislating from the bench, usurping power not delegated to them. But why do the people elect the men who appoint them? And why are judges typically far more liberal than the people doing the electing? Kevin Swanson interviews Bob Vander Plaats, representing Iowa for Freedom in his attempts to reform the judicial system in Iowa.

While the referendum processes were intended to allow for a balance of powers, it will be our leaders and the universities they attend that will set the direction for the country. So is it really worthwhile passing legislation to modify constitutions, when the judges will interpret the constitutions any which way they want to? This may be the time for Judicial impeachments. But more importantly, what do we do about the universities and law schools that set the philosophical directions for the nation?
