The Preciousness of Faith

2 Peter is a letter about the preciousness of faith. Our faith is precious because it doesn't depend on us; it depends on Christ. In 2 Peter 1:1-4 we see that our faith is precious because of Christ's person--He is righteous, He is Savior, and He is God; because of His power--enough to save completely, enough to sanctify completely, and enough to establish completely; and because of His promises--they change us, they free us, and they assure us.
