NEW TESTAMENT THINKING IS NEW COVENANT THINKING God's dealing with man is according to covenants. God's revelation to man is about covenants (Testaments: Old & New). A covenant is a contract. A testament is a will. The Bible is the story of God's will (testament), concerning God's contract with God (covenant), about what happens to God's people after the death of God's Son.
