Tick. Tock. Tick. Tock. We rarely perceive the moving of a clock's hands as the visible reminder that life is slowly--sometimes quickly--passing us by. To focus on time makes one insane; but to ignore it makes one a fool. How are we to understand our role as "free" beings, when we seem to be held captive by the "tyranny of time?"
