The Final Act

The prophetic section of Revelation in many ways is like a three-act play. In the first two acts the main characters are introduced and the story line is established. Conflict builds between God and Satan's man, the Antichrist! God pours out devastating judgments on the earth. Many lose their lives. The sounding of the seventh trumpet, with the exclamation, 'The kingdoms of this world have become the kingdoms of our Lord and of His Christ, and He shall reign forever and ever' marks the beginning of the Final Act that will culminate in the return of Jesus Christ, the establishment of His kingdom here on earth, and ultimately the eternal kingdom, the new heavens and new earth. The response of those in heaven is worship and praise for who God is and His marvelous plan! And we too are reassured of God's presence, comfort, and aid. Our God reigns! Let the Final Act begin!
