If God Be For Us

The powers of evil have always sought to defy and belittle the living God by deceiving the people of God into focussing on the size of their opponent rather than on the size of their God. Does having the 'Living God' on our side make any difference? Do we give way in terror at the threats that seek to destroy our confidence in God?

Christ in His day, like David centuries before, was considered too weak to overcome the powers that opposed Him. How wrong they were and how wrong we are when we judge by outward appearance! When we trust in the living God the things that threaten suddenly do not seem so big and so impossible to overcome. Luther was right: 'One little word shall fell Him.'
