A. Godly leaders are frequently the target of attack
B. Safeguards must be in place against false accusations
C. Elders who sin must be rebuked
D. It is a solemn duty that every church must observe

III. THE SELECTION OF ELDERS REQUIRES CAUTION

A. Ordination of men must be done with care
B. The preacher must attend to his own physical health
C. Assessment of pastoral candidates
