The Continuity of Germ Plasm? Just a Normal Day at Cliffside

This is a normal day at Cliffside. But... do not assume that our normal is anything like your normal.

We are in Romans 5:12 and 2 Kings 1-2 simultaneously. Why do these passages of Scripture match up, you might ask. And then you might ask how this guy ties in the study of the continuity of germ plasm.

Now you begin to get a little inkling of what's normal to us hear at beautiful downtown Cliffside.

The virgin birth of Jesus Christ cannot be disconnected from the resurrection of Jesus Christ. The birth, death and resurrection are all interconnected. And that's how we got to 2 Kings 2.

Just like you can't find the body of Elijah, and it's shameful to search for it... It is shameful to go looking for the body of Christ.

You'll find that 2 Kings 1 and 2 Kings 2 are a matched set.

2nd Kings 1 emphasizes:
"Come Down Quickly (now)"
2nd Kings 2 emphasizes:
"Go up Old Baldhead"

You don't ask the God of creation to come down. He calls down fire and it was not a good day for those two. Now connect that to the two bears that kill 42 people.

People told Christ to come down off the cross in Matthew 27:39. Why do they want Him to come down off the cross? Because they don't want anybody saved.

Now we go to 2nd Kings 2:23-24 and the two female bears. First, the phrase Bald Head is the same as calling someone a leper. They are mocking him and therefore they are mocking Jesus Christ. So he sends in two bears... Now, all that remains is, why salt and why two bears. And then you have to figure out where else in Scripture is the number 42 mentioned… So… Where does it end? Here’s a hint. The Bible was written by an infinite Creator.
