Are Our Sufferings in Vain?

We may not have the answers as to why suffering happens in our lives or the lives of others, but Peter declares that sufferings are not in vain. Sometimes it feels like all is lost, and we don't have reasons for all of the bad things that happen in our lives. Because struggle is all around some people will give up and seek happiness in the world and others will say we must toughen up and take on the world. Peter has a better answer: Our trials can cause us to turn from the world as God is made real.
