Do Not Fear, For the Lord Your God Himself Fights For You

So often when a leader is trying to motivate his people, he tells them something along the lines of "your enemies are weak, but you are strong and will sweep them aside easily!"

Moses doesn't do this, he doesn't downplay the strength of the enemy or their defenses, neither does he tell God's people "You are strong enough to do it!" In fact he admits they face fearsome enemies and mighty fortresses, but then he tells them why they should not fear - not because they are so strong, but because God himself will fight for them!
