Jesus and The Trinity - Part 2

The word “Trinity” does not appear in the Bible, but then neither does the word “Bible”. As we accept and use the word “Bible” to identify the book attested as the Holy Scriptures, so we accept and use the word “Trinity” to identify the revelation from Holy Scripture of God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—one God in three Persons.

The doctrine of the Holy Trinity is not only revealed, it is essential and the foundational belief of Christianity. There is no Christianity without the Trinity!

If Jesus is not the God-man, Son of God the 2nd Person of the Trinity and Son of man by the incarnation and virgin birth, then He is a liar or a lunatic.

The Prologue to the Gospel according to the Apostle John (ch.1:1-18) makes the claim Jesus Christ is that very God-man.

So eloquent and profound is this Prologue that Dr. Bernard has suggested it is an ancient Christian hymn.
